Industry Funds Manager 

Oversee Hot Docs' portfolio of production funds that are now at $8-million and has supported 187 documentary projects to date with cash grants and professional development opportunities.





Heidi currently manages the Hot Docs Film Funds where she oversees Hot Docs’ portfolio of documentary film funds for Canadian and international documentary films. In this role she works with filmmakers from around the world on their projects and oversee Hot Docs’ investment in their work and professional development. Heidi has a background in producing and developing fiction and nonfiction for film and TV. She has programmed and produced conferences with marquee speakers, such as the Toronto Screenwriting Conference, as well as programmed with WIFT-T. Heidi has earned a number of industry accolades such as the Bell Media National Fellowship, CMPA Telefilm Producer Trainee award, Trailblazer award by ReelWorld Film Festival, and the WIFT-T CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship Award. Heidi is an alumnus of the Producer’s Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. If there is spare time, she devotes it to reading books.
