The town is in a poor county, but the residents was respected when they went to Guangdong province, and they were considered "the wealthy", the town is called "Mei tian". However, in the early 90s, it seems that the most of residents were disappeared at one night. No one knows where they gone. The lost hometown shows a story that the people in the town which experienced industrial transformation in Chinese south area, and there are nearly 100,000 people from all over the country came to the small coal mine town , and worked in the industry which was never earned. Eventually,they scattered all over the world.

My father was born in Daegu during Korean War, my grandfather was forced to flee to Incheon from Shandong during Chinese Civil War. Because of the poverty for Chinese refugee family in South Korea, my father was sent away to another family as an adopted child by grandpa at the age of ten.Father grew up in a broken family.After that, he finished his study by being a migrant worker in Japan, then he came to Taiwan to establish his own family.I grew up in the family built by him. Grandpa was a total absence of the childhood memories of my father.But father's attendance of my childhood caused lots of fears and stress, the physically and emotionally violence of he had caused great pain for me and my mother.Until the relationship between father and I was completely broken, I've begun to think about the definition of my father for me.I began to search for the journey of my family, and how did my family suffer from the historical events.Naturally, I was doing that with my camera and record what I know and what I feel during the researching as writing a letter to my father.

The quiet and secluded mountain forest at the eastern part of Zhejiang Province has allowed local residents to sustain the primitive and tranquil agricultural life of the Han nationality for nearly a century. Locals with the company of bamboo forests and streams, get up at the sight of stars and take rest at the sunset. The 13-year-old girl, Hu Ziyan, and 25-year-old boy, Zhang Yuliang, dwell at the foot of the mountain living an enchanted life there. The Hu family on the mountain, as an owner of abundant bamboo forests and farmlands, relies on agricultural produce to sustain a self-sufficient and laid-back life. In order to go to school, the young girl has to take a bus or a four-hour walk through the beautiful scenery and perils of the Tiantai Mountain every week. She starts to gradually perceive the frustration of her father's indifference upon departure in the past and contentment at present.The Zhang family at the foot of the mountain makes a living by farming and harvesting based on the ancient solar terms of four seasons. They lead a hermit's life aspired to by numerous Chinese celebrities of culture. Nonetheless, only Zhang Yuliang knows that behind the seemingly wonderful and idyllic life, there are hardships of his parents and the poverty of a mountainous life. Merely a frost hardly noticed by urban residents can destroy their hard work of an entire winter. The young Boy Liang Liang and the young girl Zi Yan explore their way out from the mountain forest by hiking along roads that vary over the four seasons. However, their fathers return home after departure and carry on their farming lives of elder generations on the mountain. As they dwell on and at the foot of the same mountain respectively, with everything coming and going over the seasons, are their lives doomed?

Her mother passed away when she was only 4, later her father had a new family, so she lived with her grandparents ever since. Jinqi never feared the strange looks from others in her life, however she faces them with strong calmness.
Finally, this strong and positive girl came to Shanghai with her boyfriend hoping to change her face with the help of experts then start a new life. Maybe one day, the new Jinqi with beautiful face will be a real photographer.
